Lifetime brings together all of the female stars of the 1980s in their new Christmas movie, Ladies of the 80s A Divas Christmas. Starring Loni Anderson, Morgan Fairchild, Linda Gray, Donna Mills and Nicollette Sheridan, this movie is chalk-full of nostalgia, humor, and fun.

The Story of Ladies of the 80s

As a person who grew up in the 80's, I was really excited when I saw this movie on Lifetime's Christmas movie lineup for 2023. I mean how can you go wrong with a movie full of these iconic stars?

When I finally had a chance to sit down and watch it, I was glad that I took the time to watch this Lifetime movie. It's not your typical Christmas movie, and for that reason alone I really liked it.

The premise of the movie is simple, these five women all starred on a soap opera together in the 80's. Now they've been brought back together for a Christmas reunion type of special.

It's a fun, campy movie where the women aren't afraid to poke fun at themselves. They each have real life issues they are hiding from, or hiding from each other. So underneath the Christmas charm, there's also a life lesson woven into the story. Be yourself, be authentic, and stop trying to live up to some idea of perfection that you have in your head. Who knew a Christmas movie could get us thinking about that?

Ladies of the 80s A Divas Christmas Cast

If you're over 50 then I'm sure you've heard of these women before, but if you're too young to remember the 80's, here's a look at the stars of Ladies of the 80s A Divas Christmas.

Loni Anderson is 78 years young. She is known for her starring role in the 80s sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati. Like so many of these women, so also starred in other shows during this time period and was a frequent guest on the popular shows of the 80s.

Morgan Fairchild is 73 years old. Morgan was in so many TV shows and movies during the 1980's most notably, she starred in Flamingo Road, Falcon Crest, Dallas, and was a guest star on almost every hit show of that decade.

Linda Gray is 83 years young and is known for her role starring as Sue Ellen Ewing on Dallas. Dallas was one of the biggest hits of the 80's and was one of the first Primetime soap operas that really took off in the 80s.

Donna Mills is 83 years young and is known for her role in the hit show Knots Landing. Like Dallas, Knots Landing was another Primetime soap opera. A genre that really defined the 1980s.

Nicollette Sheridan is the youngest of the group at age 60. She starred in Paper Dolls alongside Morgan Fairchild in 1984, and then was a series regular on Knots Landing from the mid 80s through 1993.

These five women were great to watch in the 80s. Aside from Loni Anderson who was known for her comedic role on WKRP, the other 4 were known for the drama, deception, and cat fights that filled the 80s nighttime soap operas.

It's so nice to see them all together in Ladies of the 80s A Divas Christmas. What a fun way to celebrate the holidays. This movie isn't going to win any awards, but it's still entertaining and a welcome relief from the cookie cutter stories that fill so many Christmas movies. So put on your favorite 80s inspired outfit, and let Ladies of the 80s A Divas Christmas transport you back to a fun time in TV history.
